So where did Shiny Happy Art actually come from?
Well waaaaay back in the very early 2000s I was watching Sesame Street with my son, James, and REM came on and sang ‘Furry Happy Monsters’ to the tune of ‘Shiny Happy People’. I remember thinking, “Shiny Happy People… Shiny Happy Art… that’s what I make!”
And over 20 years later, I’m still making shiny happy art, albeit, now with a lot more people around the world!
The actual logo has had a few iterations, but this one has been around for over ten years now, so it’s staying! It’s my handwriting on a red dot (which means ‘sold’ on a painting) and a circular logo fits very nicely in a social feed, on a tshirt, apron, beanie or bag. And did you spot it in the @flamingoblondest music video for ‘On Your Side’?
I hope it makes it easy for you to (literally) spot me on your screen or out and about!
