The entire Chook mural in 2 minutes!

The entire Chook mural in 2 minutes!

I loved painting this mural in late 2018!

The mailboxes were from a photo I took at the Bunya Mountains in March and all the chooks now live in one of the Toowoomba Hospital Paediatric Oncology rooms.

Huge thanks to the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation for supporting this project.

If you’re looking for a mural in your home or workplace, please get in touch and we’ll see what’s possible!

Murals come to life

Murals come to life

Huge thanks to the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation for engaging me to paint 6 new murals in the Paediatric Outpatients clinic.

I’ve spent quite a bit of time in there and we’re now 4 down, with 2 to go 🙂

Here are two timelapses of the process (if I could afford the license fee, I would have used Benny Hill theme music, so feel free to imagine that if you like!).

I so appreciate the encouraging comments left on my Instagram and Facebook feed as I’m painting these walls, so thank you to everyone who’s watched as I’ve painted so far.

I’ll be back in and painting the last two in a couple of weeks and will be sure to report back.

May your day be as fun as having a lorikeet (without sharp claws) sitting on your head. 🙂

A new mural

A new mural

A couple of weekends ago I got to paint a mural (at Kate’s Place childcare centre, Middle Ridge) and documented the process – after 10 hours of painting I swear these old bones were creaking, but oh, what a wonderful way to spend the day!

4 seasons on 1 wall

4 seasons on 1 wall

I was recently asked to do a mural in a mammogram room at Breastscreen Queensland (Toowoomba Hospital). I’ve done quite a few murals at the Toowoomba Hospital over the years, and the object of the game in this room is ‘distraction’, so there had to be a lot of quirky details.

And then there were the seasons themselves of course.
But the real message is that if you’re over 40 and due for a mammogram, please go and get one. They’re free through Breastscreen Queensland. You make a time to come in, two doctors will read your images and if things are caught early you’re in good hands. I’ve had two friends go through it quite recently. Please just do it.

Pickup the phone and make an appointment. While you’re on hold, you can check out the other murals you might see if you’re a Toowoomba-ite…
