GIVINGThese causes are close to my heart and I invite you to support them as I do.
Act for Kids is an Australian charity providing free therapy and support services to children and families who have experienced, or are at risk of child abuse and neglect.
All of these services are provided free of charge to clients, relying heavily on donations and fundraising to expand and develop services to reach out to more children and families in need. I support ACT for Kids so they can grow and expand into new regions so more kids can have a safe and happy childhood, free from abuse and neglect.
I support ACT for Kids every day through Make Some Change.
My daughter, Caitlin, was born still on 25 November 2000.
I had never needed a support group before, but I needed help to grieve her death.
SANDS Queensland helped me immensely, and I cannot thank these wonderful volunteers enough.
The Scarlett Kisses Project arose from my friendship with another SANDS mother, Jen Perrignon, and I continue to support her work supplying photo frames to grieving mothers in local hospitals.
For the last few years a very special friend of mine from school days, Toni Mitchell, has been the amazing mother and primary carer to her son. Joshy has multiple disabilities, including Down syndrome, autism, hearing and vision impairment, epilepsy and Hirschsprung’s Disease. He is almost 16 and endures immense pain every day.
Toni is a brilliant writer, and I am proud to be able to help her put her wisdom into a book. Please click here if you would like to be notified when it is ready to share. Thank you.
